Parkinson’s Help – Bowen Therapy
Managing Parkinson’s Symptoms with Bowen Therapy
The symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are complex and usually develop gradually, being mild at first and affecting different people in different ways. Treatment for Parkinson’s sufferers using the Bowen Technique will differ than other therapies you may have tried, both due to the gentle pain-free technique, and the speed in which we practitioners expect to see results. Many report a near immediate reduction in stiffness, finding longer lasting effects after 3 or 4 sessions. Bowen Therapy is not a cure for Parkinson’s, however it has shown to be beneficial to those suffering from body stiffness and restriction, allowing them to move more freely. A fellow Bowen Therapist John Coleman used the therapy throughout his recovery from symptoms related to the condition. His video below makes interesting viewing for those who may have, or know someone who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Main symptoms of Parkinson’s
