Alawiyah is a certified Sports Rehab Therapist who has completed her Bachelor in Sports Science (Honours) majoring in Sports Rehabilitation from Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI). Beyond that, she is also a certified sports massage therapist from UITM. Alawiyah is a highly enthusiastic person when it comes to her passion in helping people. She strongly believes that by understanding your body well and having the right knowledge in finding the root of the problem, can help one to reach in maximising the quality of their rehabilitation. Bowen therapy has brought an awareness about how our body works on it’s ‘healing process’ without using any modalities or medication, its techniques’ being 100% natural. Hence, this treatment is safe for all ages, from newborns to elderly and the result has been shown to be effective. She believes that by helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.
Alawiyah Currently enjoying her training to become a specialist in the application of The Bowen Technique, Ala is currently unavailable for bookings. I graduated with a diploma in Physiotherapy from KLMUC Kuala Lumpur metropolitan university college, however, I was also always interested in assisting companies to help their clients know more about the products and services they provided. Fast Back Pain Results
Many people face back pain in their everyday life. Most adults have suffered at least one episode of lower back pain, as some refer to also as backbone pain, which took days to recover. Back pain may last hours, months, or even years. Keeping symptoms at bay with the likes of back massage can offer some back pain relief. However, if you are finding episodes come and go, there may be another issue remote from the area of discomfort involved in your symptoms.
But what are the reasons for the back pain?
There is not always an obvious answer for this. However, multiple factors can lead to an episode or indeed frequent episodes of backache pain. Individuals seeking back pain treatment increased during the last years, attributed to people being less active, sitting in the office all day, and have little musculoskeletal involvement in their everyday life.
Many don’t train, play sports, or partake in regular physical activities. Sadly many find themselves sitting for many hours in a chair using computers or mobiles all day, then sit again searching how to cure lower back pain or even just how to relieve back pain. It’s a vicious circle; the body needs to move.
Let’s Talk About Back Pain
The spine comprises 33 individual vertebrae that interlock with each other to create a ‘spinal column.’ There are four primary areas of the spinal column, the cervical area; connecting directly to your skull, the thoracic and lumbar area; acting as the mid-section; and lastly, the sacral area, connecting to your hip bone.
Between every vertebra, there are small hardened disc-like objects that contain jelly-like fluid core called spinal discs. The primary function of these discs is to absorb shock, align the vertebra together, and allow for flexibility in the spine. In other words, spinal discs enable you to move your back freely and prevent your spinal cord from fracturing.
Back Pain Treatment
Lower back pain is becoming increasingly common, and worryingly, the age of sufferers is also becoming younger. We at My Bowen Therapy have attributed this to prolonged sitting, screen slouch, and lousy posture.
Daily we assist sufferers looking to reduce back pain in the Lumbar area (lower back), specifically L4/L5 or L5/S1, and also those with the neck of arm issues associated with conditions in the cervical spine (your neck), most commonly C5/C6 herniated or bulging discs and Spondylosis.
Slipped Discs and Herniated Discs (Disc dislocation) can only be confirmed by a Spine Specialist using imaging such as an MRI. On diagnosis, many feel confused as to what back pain treatment they should choose. Most good surgeons will advise that spine surgery should be the last option unless crucially urgent and suggest a more non-invasive approach first.
