Clients ideally lie on a massage table in order to achieve maximum benefit and relaxation, however, if required, a treatment can be performed seated in a chair.

Bowen therapy is best performed on the skin, however in circumstances where this is not convenient, treatments can be conducted through very light clothing that allows the practitioner to locate the relevant muscles, tendons, ligaments and soft tissue freely.
